I'm a total hermit. At least that's how I feel since getting a massive sunburn and causing yet another coldsore outbreak on my lower lip, leaving me no choice but to hide inside. Right now, it's swollen and looks like someone sucker punched me in the mouth. It hurts so bad have to drink my favorite tea, Earl Grey, with a spoon. ::violin music ensues::

So I took some pictures of my surroundings.

    What a cute place! I wish mine looked a little cuter (but it's on it's way!) And I totally understand the hermit thing. That's how I've felt recently because I'm overwhelmed by real life.

Q. Name 3 authors that you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from? I know they are dead, but since this is a hypothetical question to begin with, I would vote for Mark Twain, Carl Sagan, and J. R. R. Tolkien. Hands down. I don't know how much talking I would do. Oh man. I love a lot of the same stuff I loved as a teen. But that doesn't mean my reading habits haven't changed, they have. I think they've changed for the better. When I was a teen, I was only into fantasy fiction, today, I'm into all sorts of crazy things like books about philosophy, sociology, psychology, religion, science, etc. I've also broadened my fiction reading into not just fantasy, but regular fiction as well.   Q. E-Reading in the Bathtub?

Okay, so a lot of people say that e-readers never will replace print because they just, well, love paper books so much. I get it. When I get a new hardbound book and crack open the cover for the first time, the smell is intoxicating. I swear publishers put some kind of drug in the book binding glue to make it so addictive. But I also love my e-reader, and have been using it more and more... and in some cases, I'm preferring it over some paper books (because it isn't as heavy). Also, in June 2011, adult paperback books plunged 64% from last year, while e-book sales went up 161 percent . This suggests that while many hardcover books are still being purchased (though it dropped 25 % in the same month), people who just want to read a book for the sake of the words, and not the format (i.e. paperback readers), are starting to gravitate towards e-books. Libraries have growing digital collections, and some libraries have already started lending e-readers . I think in the future,...
